I had no idea that an iPhone commercial would boost our Rubik’s Cube sales by 500%.
In early February I received a phone call from a California number at 10:47 PM on a Saturday. Usually, I would let an unknown call go to voicemail but I decided to pick it up. On the other line was a project manager from Apple asking if I was interested in working with them to promote one of our products at Magmic. She gave no other details except that they would like to promote one of our products and that she would send some terms and conditions which would need to be signed in order to proceed.
I alerted our CEO about the opportunity and sent back the signed documents. I sent a few follow up emails and heard nothing.
About a month later, sales of Rubik’s Cube skyrocketed 500%.
